  • Invitation to Bid: Snow Removal

    The Cabell County Board of Education will be accepting bids for snow removal at Davis Creek, Hite Saunders, Martha, Salt Rock elementaries and the Career Technology Center.

    Bidding documents will be available at a mandatory prebid meeting held on Tues., Dec. 1, 2009 at 9 a.m. in the Operations office of James Colegrove, Dir. of Buildings and Grounds, 2850 5TH Ave., Huntington, WV 25709. Bid opening will be Tues., Dec. 8, 2009 at 9 a.m. at the Central Office Operations Dept.

  • LEAD Program Looking for Participants and Volunteers

    Submitted release from the City of Huntington Weed and Seed Program:

    Will Holland, Resident Director at Gibson Hall and Communications Director for the Student Government Association at Marshall University has been organizing a new program with the Barnett Center and the Weed and Seed Program called L.E.A.D. – Leaders Educate and Demonstrate.

    L.E.A.D. will take place every Monday from 3-6 PM at the Barnett Center, 1524 10th Ave. and is open to area youth ages 9-1
