<title>Cabell County Schools &quot;Employee Offers Page&quot; Gives Businesses Opportunity to Support School Employees</title>
			 <link>http://boe.cabe.k12.wv.us/viewPost.php?id=1212</link>
<description>Many businesses in the local community have expressed a desire to show their support for Cabell County’s teachers, service staff, and administrators, but, until now, have had limited opportunities.

To allow them to share information about special discounts or other savings programs offered on a continuing basis to school employees, Cabell County Schools has created an “Employee Offers Page” on their website, www.cabellcountyschools.com. The link to the “Employee Offers Page” can be found in the “Staff” section of the website under the heading “Employee Benefits”. You can also visit the page by clicking on the related link at the bottom of the story.

“Our employees do so much good for the children and families of our county,” says William Smith, Superintendent of Cabell County Schools. “We wanted to find a way to connect them with some of the money-saving offers we were aware of so their families could benefit while supporting the local business community.”

The items on the “Employee Offers Page” are being published for informational purposes only. As per state and Board policy, no advertising can be displayed and no commercial activity can be conducted through the county website.

“Because we are providing informational listings only, we cannot include short-term sales or direct links to business websites,” says Jedd Flowers, Director of Communications. “And the nature of the listings must be very factual, cannot include any sales jargon, and must meet the standards established by Board policy for any materials distributed in the school system.”

Flowers says what can be included are the following: the organization name; main phone number; main address; a contact person's name, title, phone number, and email address; website address; and continuing discount or savings program being offered. Any business wishing to offer a discount or savings program to Cabell County Schools employees on a continuing basis should email the above information to Jedd Flowers at jtflower@access.k12.wv.us. They can also email the same address if they wish for their listing to be removed.

Disclaimer: “Neither the Cabell County Board of Education nor any of its agents or employees sponsor or endorse any of the businesses, clubs, groups, nor organizations listed on the’ Employee Offers Page’. The views expressed may or may not reflect those of the county or school administration and are neither approved nor disapproved by them.”
